welcome! our building is currently under construction. We plan to open NOVEMBER 2024
Linden House Kids Village Co-op will use the Brightwheel Experience Curriculum as a guide but is revised and developed collaboratively by the parents, ensuring it meets the unique needs and values of our community. These are the general guidelines for each age group:
For our youngest students, the curriculum is designed to allow learning through play in a safe and loving environment. Activities focus on fostering creativity, language development, color and shape recognition, fine and gross motor skills, and music appreciation. Consistent routines help children learn important skills such as following directions and keeping themselves safe.
The two-year-old curriculum is designed to recognize and enhance individual talents and interests. The program incorporates thematic and seasonal changes, offering opportunities for creativity, language development, science, and motor skills. Gentle limits are set to encourage self-discipline and self-acceptance, with children potty training at their own pace
Three-year-old's are ready to explore the world around them. Our program provides a variety of age-appropriate activities addressing social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. The thematic curriculum includes introductions to letters, numbers, and science concepts. Fine motor skills are developed through manipulative play, cutting, coloring, and other creative pursuits.
The four-year-old class prepares children for kindergarten both socially and academically. The curriculum includes literature, social studies, music, science, and weekly consonant studies. Students participate in circle time, learn to listen and share, and develop fine motor skills through writing and various projects. The class also enjoys field trips to enhance their learning experience.
Our program for children aged 5-12 is designed to provide age-appropriate enrichment activities that complement their schoolwork while also offering support with homework and fostering a love for learning. We focus on creating a nurturing environment where children can explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships.
Our homework support program for children aged 5-12 aims to help students complete assignments in a supportive environment. With dedicated time and personalized guidance from educators, we will cultivate good study habits and a positive attitude towards learning, balancing academics with enriching activities.
